Do YOU Spark My World?!?!?!!?

I’m fascinated by sparks, fire, bursts of light, glow sticks, light installations, etc (One day I’ll do my own, FYI, once I have the mental/creative time and most importantly, space cuz I know I’d be awesome at it.)

When I’m around these things, I react like a kid that’s bored, tired and crying who, all of a sudden, is given something shiny and cool to play with, who then, instantly shuts the fuck up and just smiles and stares. When I was younger, I’d light fires on different mediums, just to see how they’d burn. (may have also ALMOST burnt a few houses down. ALMOST.)

I’m seriously mesmerized by the stuff.

Maybe I was a firefly in my past life who’s searching for her lost ass.

I find “sparks” within people as well, from all backgrounds and walks of life. These “sparks” help fuel the smiles that splash my face, on a high percentage of days, throughout the year. “Sparks” are people I LOVE getting to know. People that make me smile, just by thinking about them. They’re genuine people who aren’t trying to be someone. They ARE someone. Themselves!!!

Crazy shit huh??? Finding people, that aren’t TRYING/FAKING/CLAIMING to be someone that they are not; these people, are as they are and act accordingly. COOL! No?

No agendas. How relaxing.

Sweet, down-to-earth, and in my book, AMAZING. Even though, (some) in the eyes of most and even themselves, they feel/are seen as nothing. It’s not what they do, it’s the energy they give off. Precious, untainted, simple and sweet. I collect “sparks.” Young and old. I’mma start a “spark” folder so I can begin keeping track of them all. Most of my “sparks” don’t have email/Facebook, so during my travels it’s touch and go. I’ve been thinking of asking a few of the ones I’ve been meeting here in Holland out to dinner or something…so I can get to know their stories better.
