I know everyone doesn’t have a ton of cash just lying around to go running out and spending THOUSANDS on ONE pair of shoes…however, nothing’s MORE of a turnoff than some chick TRYIN’ ta be all sexy and decked out in a $15 pair of Payless Shoes. (or however much they’re priced in that store) One thing in life, IF you assume you are a “Lady of Fashion” you must NEVER cheap out on, are SHOES!

Heels, to be precise.

$1500 is my cap to spend on shoes. Anything MORE than that I can’t really see the value in. Also, they must STAND OUT. They must REALLY catch my eye. When I put them on, taking them off (in the store without buying them) has to be like a good mother parting with their child. (for GOOD!) I have an easier time spending money on others. Spoiling myself, is difficult however, if I need a pair of shoes. I need a pair of shoes.

I don’t just randomly go out and shop. If I’m traveling and I happen to not have mine with me and an event/party comes up…then, yes. Time to go shoe shopping! (I was worse back in the day now I buy via necessity) I see shoes as works of art. Which, essentially, they are. Sometimes somewhat painful little fuckers…but ART nonetheless.

A good solid $80-100 should get you into a solid pair of black heels. They go with about anything. QUALITY not QUANTITY!!!!!!! Go to DSW. You can usually find some really good brands and buys.

I don’t go or listen to style “trends.” I just go for what I like. I don’t like to divert too OUT of the WAY cuz then the shoe’s life expectancy travels with the speed of fashion. Fashion trends are the WORST thing to be arrested by. You are essentially putting yourself at the mercy of the industry as they get you to buy, retire and buy again.

Don’t be a rat in the race of looking good. Keep things classic and you’ll always ROCK it. When I see a group of girls out at night, usually younger…like 16-23 or so…looking like they all shopped at the same God Damn store…it’s like EWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I don’t care HOW cute/beautiful you are. If you are just one of the sheep, I don’t even see you.

It’s like, GROW some originality/individuality will ya?

And that’s my 2 cents for today. Learn to stretch your dollar in a good way so you can keep looking good without breaking the bank.

Charles David and Gianmarco Lorenzi. They’re the only men I’ve kept around…as a constant…for more than a decade! They always seem to catch me.
