If Only Heaven's Tears Could Wash Away the Sins of the World.

It doesn’t help that today’s a day filled with mist and precipitation. Currently, the sky is saturated by a constant downpour of tiny dots of water. There is not a blue sky in sight, just a heaven of white clouds. I’ve been working on getting the word of the event out. Took a break to chat with a few good friends on Skype…then, concentrated on soaking my brain in the sex trafficking trade.
I hit the subject of Nepal. I see video clips of the vast lands. I stupidly think of ways to help the villagers. Thinking in reference to “village” – not as many people as a big city right? HA! Wrong. Do you know the population of Nepal? Approximately 30 million! And it’s one of the poorest countries in the WORLD!
Not only are they a prime target for sex and human trafficking, but now, they have become a HAVEN for organ traffickers.
I’m now watching Selling of Innocence by Ruchira Gupta. Amazing how the first video on YouTube (out of a 6) is the only one with over 18,000 views. Who knows how many of those views were watched in its entirety. As of today, the 5th video hasn’t even hit 4,000 views. It makes me sad how many people run away from important information and ills of the world that need SERIOUS attention!
The 30 million hit me hard because Nepal isn’t the only country. What a suffocating challenge! How many need to be saved, educated and rehibilitated? 100 million? More?????? God, doesn’t that tie your stomach into knots? The faces of the girls, their voices, their stories, this MASSIVE, MASSIVE weight of WHAT in the HELL can be done, brings me to tears.
Have I even encountered that many people? Even a TINY fraction of that? How in the hell am I to HELP that many?
UGH.
Questions of the day: How are we to convince the world, to love and care for one another? To put aside so much of the me and live for the us?
So much of the world’s population is brainwashed. We have so much, yet appreciate so little.
